About CutBloom

CutBloom is a free, privacy-first calculator for interior-film and sheet-vinyl installers and DIY renovators. Enter the panels you need to wrap — their width, height, quantity and grain direction — and CutBloom nests them onto a roll of your chosen width, then tells you the film length needed, the waste (loss) ratio, how many rolls to buy and a visual cutting layout you can follow at the bench.

Nesting that respects grain and cutting

Wood-grain, marble and hairline films have a fixed direction, so those pieces cannot simply be rotated to fill a gap. CutBloom keeps grain-locked pieces oriented while turning plain colours to pack tighter. You can choose a Save-material layout that fills every gap, or an Easy-cutting layout of full-width rows for the simplest straight cuts, and compare how much film each one needs. Panels wider than the roll can be split into overlapping seam strips automatically.

From measurement to a full quote

Beyond film, a real job includes labour and consumables. Enter your film or roll price, labour (a flat amount, a rate per square metre or per pyeong) and any sub-materials, and CutBloom builds a clear quote with an optional margin and 10% VAT. Save the sizes you use most as presets, print the whole estimate, or export the cutting layout as an image.

Private and offline-friendly

Everything runs in your browser. Your panels, presets and settings are saved on your device and nothing is uploaded. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working without a connection. Read the details in our Privacy Policy. Note that the estimates are planning aids — a heuristic layout, not a guaranteed optimum — so always confirm against your material before cutting.
